Critical thinking

a. Do you agree that ‘the couples, who laugh together, stay together?’ Is it important for married couples to have the same sense of humour? Why?

Many people believe that “couples who laugh together, stay together.” I agree with this idea because sharing laughter can strengthen the bond between partners and make relationships happier. A good sense of humour helps couples enjoy life together, even during stressful or difficult times.

When couples laugh together, they feel closer and more comfortable with each other. Laughing creates positive feelings, reduces tension, and helps them solve problems without anger or arguments. For example, if a couple faces a small misunderstanding, a joke or a light-hearted comment can make the situation easier to handle and prevent conflicts from growing.

Having a similar sense of humour is not always necessary, but understanding and appreciating each other’s jokes is important. Even if one partner prefers witty humour and the other enjoys playful teasing, learning to enjoy each other’s humour can build mutual respect and understanding. Couples who laugh together often share more joyful moments and develop a stronger emotional connection, which helps them face life’s challenges together.

In conclusion, laughter is a key ingredient in a healthy and lasting relationship. Couples who laugh together experience happiness, reduce stress, and strengthen their bond. While having exactly the same sense of humour is not mandatory, enjoying and respecting each other’s humour makes a relationship more joyful and enduring. Therefore, sharing laughter can truly help couples stay together and make married life more pleasant and meaningful.

b. Some people believe that sometimes crying is good for health. Do you believe it? Give your reasons.

Many people believe that crying can be good for health, and I agree with this idea. Crying is a natural way to express emotions such as sadness, stress, or even joy. Holding back emotions for a long time can cause mental and physical problems, so crying helps release them.

First, crying is beneficial for mental health. When a person cries, it reduces emotional tension and stress. It allows them to express feelings that may otherwise build up and cause anxiety or depression. For example, after a difficult situation, crying can provide relief and help a person feel calmer and lighter.

Second, crying can also have physical health benefits. Tears help remove toxins from the body and can reduce stress hormones. Crying can lower blood pressure and release endorphins, which are natural chemicals that improve mood.

Third, crying can strengthen social relationships. When people share their emotions with friends or family through tears, it can bring support, understanding, and comfort. This emotional connection is important for overall well-being.

In conclusion, crying is not a sign of weakness but a natural and healthy way to express emotions. It helps improve mental and physical health, reduces stress, and strengthens relationships. Therefore, crying sometimes is not only acceptable but also beneficial for both emotional and physical well-being.
