Useful Tips for PTE Summarize Written Text

1. Write ONLY ONE sentence

Use commas, connectors (however, although, moreover), or a semicolon.

2. Length should be 5–75 words

Ideal: 35–50 words.

3. Find the topic + main idea + 2 key points

Ignore examples, statistics, unnecessary details.

4. Use high-scoring linking words

5. Avoid personal opinions

Do NOT write “I think,” “In my opinion,” etc.

6. Check grammar & spelling
