Subject: Growing Concern over Fuel Crisis
Dear Sir/Madam,
Through
the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express my serious
concern regarding the ongoing fuel crisis in our country. The shortage of
petroleum products has created immense difficulties in the daily lives of
people and has disrupted normal activities across various sectors.
Due
to the irregular supply of fuel, long queues can be seen at petrol pumps, where
people are forced to wait for hours. This not only wastes valuable time and
energy but also creates frustration among citizens. Public transportation has
been severely affected, resulting in overcrowded vehicles and increased fares.
Daily commuters, students, and workers are facing great inconvenience.
Furthermore, industries and businesses are also suffering due to limited fuel
availability, which is negatively impacting the overall economy of the nation.
The
root causes of this crisis include over-dependence on imported petroleum
products, lack of effective management, and ongoing political instability. The
absence of a reliable and transparent distribution system has further worsened
the situation. Without proper planning and long-term strategies, such crises
are likely to occur repeatedly.
To
address this issue, the government should focus on promoting alternative
sources of energy such as hydroelectricity, solar power, and electric vehicles.
Nepal has great potential in hydropower, which can significantly reduce
dependency on imported fuels. Additionally, proper monitoring, fair
distribution, and strong policy implementation are necessary to ensure a stable
supply of fuel across the country.
I
sincerely request the concerned authorities to take immediate and effective
measures to resolve this crisis and to implement long-term solutions that can
prevent such situations in the future.
Thank
you for providing space to raise this important issue.
Yours sincerely,
Balaram Shah

PK is
a highly thought-provoking Bollywood film directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The movie features Aamir Khan in the lead role, along with Anushka Sharma, Sushant
Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, and Saurabh Shukla in supporting roles. Released in
2014, the film beautifully combines comedy, drama, and social satire to convey
a strong message about faith, love, and humanity.
The story revolves around an alien named PK who comes
to Earth for research purposes but loses the remote-control device needed to
return to his home planet. Being innocent and unfamiliar with human customs, PK
observes society with curiosity. However, he soon becomes confused by the
contradictions in human behavior, especially in matters of religion and belief.
His simple and childlike questions highlight the illogical practices that
people often follow without questioning. Jaggu, a journalist played by Anushka
Sharma, befriends PK and helps him search for his lost device. During their
journey, they uncover how certain self-proclaimed religious leaders exploit
people's faith for personal gain. Thus, the film becomes a sharp critique of
blind faith and social divisions.
One of the film’s greatest strengths is its ability to
address sensitive issues in a humorous and simple manner. Aamir Khan delivers
an outstanding performance, bringing innocence and uniqueness to the character
of PK through his expressions and body language. The chemistry between PK and
Jaggu adds emotional depth to the narrative. Rajkumar Hirani’s direction is
engaging, and the screenplay maintains a perfect balance between humor and
seriousness. Additionally, the film’s music and cinematography enhance its
overall appeal.
The central message of PK is that God does not create divisions
among people; rather, humans do. The film encourages viewers to question
superstitions, embrace love and tolerance, and think independently. Overall, PK is an entertaining yet meaningful film
that leaves a lasting impression on its audience.

4. Sketch the
character of Wasserkopf from the play “Refund”.
Wasserkopf is the
central character in the play Refund
written by Fritz Karinthy. He is portrayed
as a stubborn, foolish, and highly comical personality who drives the entire
plot of the play. His unusual demand for a refund of his school fees makes him
both humorous and thought-provoking.
Wasserkopf returns to his old school after many years,
claiming that his education was useless because he has not achieved success in
life. This argument clearly shows his lack of self-awareness and
responsibility. Instead of accepting his own failures, he blames his teachers
and education system. His arrogant and overconfident nature is evident
throughout the play, even though he lacks basic knowledge and logical thinking.
His behavior creates a series of funny and ironic situations.
The teachers, recognizing his foolishness, decide to test him again.
Ironically, Wasserkopf fails in every subject, which ultimately proves that he
has indeed learned something in school. This clever twist adds humor and satire
to the story.
In conclusion, Wasserkopf
represents ignorance, irresponsibility, and misplaced confidence. His character
not only entertains the audience but also delivers a deeper message about
self-realization and accountability.
5. Our culture
is our identity. Write a few paragraphs explaining how you intend to preserve
your culture, values and norms (sharing tradition).
Our
Culture is Our Identity
Culture plays a vital role in shaping our identity. It
is the combination of traditions, values, language, customs, beliefs, and ways
of life that define a group of people. Culture reflects our history and guides
our behavior in society. It gives us a sense of belonging and helps us
understand who we are and where we come from. Without culture, individuals may
feel disconnected from their roots and lose their unique identity.
Firstly, culture connects us to our heritage and
traditions. Festivals, rituals, and customs are important parts of our cultural
life. In Nepal, celebrations like Dashain and Tihar bring families together and
strengthen social bonds. Wearing traditional dresses, performing cultural
rituals, and enjoying local foods are ways through which we express our identity.
These practices not only preserve our culture but also create unity and pride
among people. Therefore, respecting and practicing traditions is essential to
maintain our cultural identity.
Secondly, language is a powerful element of culture.
It is through language that we communicate our thoughts, values, and beliefs.
Speaking our native language helps us stay connected to our roots and keeps our
culture alive. If we neglect our language, we risk losing an important part of
our identity. Teaching younger generations about our language, customs, and
history ensures that cultural knowledge is passed down. Children who understand
their culture grow up with a strong sense of identity and respect for their
heritage.
Furthermore, in the modern world, culture can be
preserved and promoted through technology. Social media platforms provide
opportunities to share cultural practices, traditions, and stories with a wider
audience. By posting about festivals, traditional attire, and cultural values,
we can raise awareness and encourage others to appreciate our heritage. Modern
tools can thus play a significant role in protecting and promoting culture
globally.
In conclusion, culture is
the foundation of our identity. It shapes our values, beliefs, and way of life.
Preserving culture is our responsibility, and we can do so by respecting
traditions, promoting language, and using modern platforms wisely. By doing
this, we ensure that our rich cultural heritage continues to thrive and is
passed on to future generations.
