B) Change anybody to anybodies

C) Change welcome to welcomes

D) No error

Answer: A) Change are to is
Reason: Anybody is singular, so verb must be is (Anybody is welcome).

Question 20
Complete the sentence with the correct indefinite pronoun:
I looked everywhere for the chart, but ___ could find it.

A) someone

B) everyone

C) nobody

D) anybody

Answer: C) nobody
Reason: Context indicates failure to find the chart, so nobody (no person) is correct. Someone and everyone contradict meaning; anybody would require a negative verb (couldn’t).

Key rules for TEAS:

Singular indefinite pronouns take singular verbs (has, is, was, does) and singular possessives (his or her — not their in formal questions).

Plural indefinite pronouns take plural verbs (have, are, were, do).

None can be singular or plural, but TEAS often treats it as singular in formal medical writing.

Pay attention to the object of of (all of the water = singular; all of the patients = plural).

25 additional ATI TEAS Version 7 practice questions focused specifically on indefinite pronouns, continuing from the previous set.

Each includes options, correct answer, and a detailed reason.

Question 4
Which indefinite pronoun is always singular?

Each of the patients must bring ___ own identification.

A) their

B) our

C) his or her

D) your

Answer: C) his or her
Reason: Each is singular, so traditional TEAS grammar requires a singular possessive pronoun (his or her). Their is plural and not preferred in formal questions.

Question 8
Identify the error in the following sentence:
Somebody left their lab coat in the contaminated area.

A) Somebody – should be Anybody

B) left – should be leave

C) their – should be his or her

D) contaminated – should be contaminate

Answer: C) their – should be his or her
Reason: Somebody is singular, so the possessive pronoun must be singular (his or her). TEAS 7 generally avoids their with singular indefinite pronouns.

Question 9

A) Anyone

B) Everybody

C) Few

D) Nothing

Answer: C) Few

B) All of the equipment is sterilized.

Many of the specimen has been contaminated.

A) Change Many to Much

B) Change Many to Several

Reason: Many is plural, so it must refer to a plural noun (specimens), and the verb should be have (but changing to specimens still leaves has wrong — best fix: change specimen to specimens AND has to have; but among options, D is the first needed change). If only one choice, D is correct because many cannot pair with singular specimen.

A) anyone

B) everyone

C) someone

D) no one
