Transition Words / Cohesive Devices with Nepali Meanings and Examples

1. Adding Information (पनि, थप, साथै)

Use these to support your main idea with extra points.

2. Showing Contrast / Opposition (तर, यद्यपि, विपरीत)

Use these to show a difference between two things or to introduce an opposing argument.

Use these to provide evidence or clarify your points.

Use these to explain why something happens (cause) and what happens next (effect).

Use these to explain the intention behind an action.
