Present Tense
A) Present
Tense: The present tense refers to the
action or event that takes place or is taking place in the present. It is used
to refer to events, actions, and conditions that are happening all the time, or
exist now.”
It has found its four
sub-types as shown below:
1) Simple
Present Tense: It used to talk about conditions or actions happening
right now or habitual actions and occurrences.
Structure: Subject
+v1/v5 +object.

completed or have happened in a period of time up to now.

has/have verb-3+object.

- She has just completed her assignment.
- They have already finished their assignments.
- We have not received our meal yet.

Continuous Tense: It is used to talk about something
that started in the past and is continuing at the present time.
Structure: Subject+
has/have+ been + verb-ing+ object.
For example:

• She
has been reading a novel.
You can use for/since in
the following ways:
For: period of time
Since: point of time
For example,
q We have been watching this movie for two hours.
q He has been working in this company since 2020
