Part 2 – Sample 1: Describe a person who has inspired you

You should say:

·         Who the person is

·         How you know him/her

·         What qualities you admire

·         And explain how this person has inspired you

Sample Answer (Approx. 200 words):

Thank you, sir for the questions. It’s interesting to talk about one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever known is my high school English teacher, Mr. Sharma. He taught me for three years and played a significant role in shaping not only my academic success but also my personality.

Mr. Sharma was very passionate about literature and always encouraged students to express themselves through writing and public speaking. He had a very calm and positive approach to teaching. Unlike other teachers who focused only on textbooks, he used stories, real-life examples, and motivational speeches to keep us engaged. I remember once I was struggling with confidence, and he personally took the time to coach me for a debate competition. Because of him, I won first place.

What I admired most about him was his ability to connect with students on a personal level. He never judged anyone and always encouraged self-improvement. His words still guide me today whenever I feel low or stressed.

He has inspired me to become a better person — more confident, kind, and helpful. In fact, I’m considering becoming a teacher myself one day because of his influence.

What made the trip special was not just the destination but the time spent with my family. We laughed, shared stories, and even cooked together at the hotel. I had been very stressed with studies, and that trip gave me a chance to relax and feel refreshed.
