1. Definition (परिभाषा)

📘 English:

“Going to + V1” is a structure used to talk about:

  • Future plans (planned actions)
  • Intentions (इरादा)
  • Predictions based on present evidence

👉 Structure:
Subject + am/is/are + going to + base verb (V1)


📙 Nepali:

“going to + V1” प्रयोग भविष्यमा गरिने:

  • योजना (Plan)
  • इरादा (Intention)
  • देखिएको आधारमा भविष्यवाणी (Prediction)

👉 संरचना:
Subject + am/is/are + going to +
क्रियाको पहिलो रूप (V1)

Affirmative (Positive)

  • I am going to play.
  • She is going to study.
  • They are going to travel.

Negative (नकारात्मक)

3. Uses of “Going to + V1” (प्रयोगहरू)


1. Future Plan (भविष्यको योजना)

📘 English:

Used for planned actions (decided before speaking)

📙 Nepali:

पहिले नै निर्णय गरिएको काम (Plan)

Examples:

  • I am going to visit Pokhara.

2. Intention (इरादा / चाहना)

  • She is going to become a doctor.

3. Prediction (Evidence based)

Used when something is likely to happen because we can see signs

📙 Nepali:

देखिएको आधारमा अनुमान

Examples:

  • Look at the sky! It is going to rain.

  • He is very weak. He is going to fall.

4. Strong Decision (दृढ निर्णय)

  • I am going to quit smoking.

  • They are going to change their plan.

6. Important Note (महत्त्वपूर्ण कुरा)

Always use V1 (base form) after “going to”
❌ Wrong: going to went
Correct: going to go

Nepali:
