Uses:

  • Action completed BEFORE another future time or action ("by then")
  • Cause and effect in the future
  • Duration before another future event (with for)
  • State before a future time ("by the time")

Time Adverbs:

  • By (by 8 PM, by tomorrow, by next week)
  • Before (before he arrives)
  • By the time (by the time I get home)
  • Already / just / yet (with future perfect)
  • By then / by that time

1.      I will have finished my homework by 9 PM.
मैले राति बजेसम्म गृहकार्य सकिसकेको हुनेछु।
(Maile rati 9 baje-samma gruhakarya sakisakeko hunechhu.)

2.      She will have left the office before you arrive.
तपाईं आउनुभन्दा अघि उनी अफिसबाट गइसकेकी हुनेछिन्।

3.      By next year, we will have built a new house.
अर्को वर्षसम्म, हामी नयाँ घर बनाइसकेका हुनेछौं।

PART 4: FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Examples 1–13)

Uses:

  • Ongoing action that will be happening for a duration BEFORE another future time
  • Emphasizes HOW LONG an action will have been in progress
  • Cause and effect in the future (looking back from the future)

Time Adverbs:

  • For + duration (for 2 hours, for 10 years)
  • Since + starting point (since 2015, since morning)
  • By / By the time + future time
  • When / Before + future action

1.      By December, I will have been working here for 5 years.
डिसेम्बरसम्म, मैले यहाँ वर्षदेखि काम गरिरहेको हुनेछु।
(December-samma, maile yaha 5 barsha-dekhi kam garirheko hunechhu.)

2.      She will have been studying English for 3 years by next summer.
अर्को गर्मीसम्म, उनी वर्षदेखि अंग्रेजी पढिरहेकी हुनेछिन्।
(Arko grishma-samma, uni 3 barsha-dekhi Angreji padhirheki hunechhin.)

3.      We will have been waiting for the bus for an hour by 9 AM.
बिहान बजेसम्म, हामी एक घण्टादेखि बसको पर्खाइ गरिरहेका हुनेछौं।
(Bihan 9 baje-samma, hami ek ghanta-dekhi bas ko parkhai garirheka hunechhau.)

4.      He will have been playing cricket for 4 hours when you arrive.
तपाईं आउँदासम्म, उनी घण्टादेखि क्रिकेट खेलिरहेका हुनेछन्।
(Tapai aauda-samma, uni 4 ghanta-dekhi cricket khelirheka hunechhan.)

5.      By the time we finish this project, we will have been working on it for six months.
हामी यो प्रोजेक्ट सक्दासम्म, हामी यसमा महिनादेखि काम गरिरहेका हुनेछौं।
(Hami yo project sakda-samma, hami yasma 6 mahina-dekhi kam garirheka hunechhau.)

6.      I will have been sleeping for 8 hours by 10 AM.
बिहान १० बजेसम्म, घण्टादेखि सुतिरहेको हुनेछु।
(Bihan 10 baje-samma, ma 8 ghanta-dekhi sutirheko hunechhu.)

7.      She will have been teaching at this school for 20 years by 2030.
सन् २०३० सम्म, उनी यस स्कुलमा २० वर्षदेखि पढाउँदै हुनेछिन्।
(San 2030-samma, uni yes school-ma 20 barsha-dekhi padhaundai hunechhin.)

8.      They will have been travelling for two weeks by Friday.
शुक्रबारसम्म, उनीहरू दुई हप्तादेखि यात्रा गरिरहेका हुनेछन्।
(Shukrabar-samma, uniharu dui hapta-dekhi yatra garirheka hunechhan.)

9.      We will have been living in this house for 10 years next July.
अर्को जुलाईसम्म, हामी यस घरमा १० वर्षदेखि बस्दै हुनेछौं।

10. He will have been running for 3 hours by the time he finishes the marathon.

11. I will have been feeling nervous for days before the exam.
परीक्षा अघि दिनौंदेखि घबराइरहेको हुनेछु।

PART 4: FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Examples 14–25)

उनीहरू महिनौंदेखि कन्सर्टको लागि हरेक दिन अभ्यास गरिरहेका हुनेछन्।
(Uniharu mahinaun-dekhi concert ko lagi harek din abhyas garirheka hunechhan.)

15. I will have been working on this thesis for 2 years by June.
जुनसम्म, मैले यस थेसिसमा वर्षदेखि काम गरिरहेको हुनेछु।
(June-samma, maile yes thesis-ma 2 barsha-dekhi kam garirheko hunechhu.)

16. Will you have been waiting for a long time when I get there?
के तपाईं त्यहाँ पुग्दासम्म धेरै बेरदेखि पर्खिरहनुभएको हुनेछ?

17. She won't have been sleeping well if she drinks coffee now.
यदि उनले अहिले कफी पिइन् भने, उनी राम्ररी सुतिरहेकी हुनेछैनन्।

18. By the end of this month, we will have been dating for 3 years.
