IELTS Speaking Part III

In part 3 of the Speaking test the
examiner will ask further questions which are connected to the topics discussed
in part 2. This part of the test is designed to give you the opportunity
to talk about more abstract issues and ideas. It is a two-way discussion with
the examiner, and will last 4-5 minutes.
How to practice?
Ask your study partner to prompt your
practice test discussion using the questions below. Try to speak as naturally
and fluently as possible.
In IELTS Speaking Part 3, the
examiner will ask a broader range of questions based on the IELTS Speaking part
2. He / She will also expect answers with an explanation and examples in
general.
Therefore, you need to practice various topics and questions related to them.
Types of questions
1. Opinion/ View (agree/disagree)
2. Asking advantages/disadvantages
3. Comparing (time, event, object, concept, place
etc...)
4. Predicting (guess, assume, hypothesis,
imagination, forecast)
5. Problem (cause/ reason)
6. Solutions (tackle/ solve)
7. Recommendation (suggestion, advices)
8. Options (why/why not?)
