A simple explanation of the difference between "too" and "enough":


1 Too

  • Meaning: More than what is needed or more than what is good (negative sense).
  • Structure:
    • too + adjective/adverb
    • Example:
      • It’s too cold to go outside. (The cold is more than what is comfortable.)
      • She runs too fast for me to keep up.

2 Enough

  • Meaning: The right amount or as much as needed (positive or sufficient).
  • Structure:
    • adjective/adverb + enough
    • enough + noun
    • Example:
      • The bag is big enough to carry everything.
      • We have enough time to finish the work.
