Interrogative Yes/No Questions and Wh- Questions

 Interrogative 

An interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question. It always ends with a question mark (?). Its purpose is to request information.

Example: Are you coming? (Yes/No question)
Example: Where do you live? (Wh- question)

Two Main Types of Interrogative Sentences

Type 2: Wh- Questions

These questions begin with a Wh- word (question word) and ask for specific information. They cannot be answered with just "Yes" or "No."

Exception: When the Wh- word is the subject of the sentence, no auxiliary verb is used.
Who called you? (Not: Who did call you?)
